The 3D Prima 2022 recap!
2022 was a great year for us. As we’re now a couple of weeks in to 2023, we wanted to give you all a recap of the highlights we got to experience.
This is the first time we’ve tried to make a recap like this. We hope you enjoy it!
Over 40 000 printers sold!
Yes, you read that right. We sold and shipped over 40 000 3D-printers in 2022. It’s hard to even imagine the amount of objects that has been created on those machines over the year.
For many of you, one of those 40 000 was your first 3D-printer. There’s a great community surrounding 3D-printing, and we love seeing it grow bigger each year.
We can’t wait to see what all of you end up using all of these printers for!
The undisputed king!
One family of printers stood out above all others as the most popular in 2022. In fact, the Creality Ender-3 family ended up taking all five top spots in our best seller rankings.

More than 100 tons of filament!
100 metric tons, that’s the approx. weight of 15 elephant, 55 normal sized cars, or a Boeing 757 jetliner.
During 2022 we sold over 100 tons of filament. That means that all of you has printed over 100 tons of your amazing creations. Just how amazing isn’t that?
Any colour you want, as long as a lot of it is black!
Black was the most popular colour when you chose your filaments and resins in 2022.
Black in fact counted for almost one fourth of all materials shipped. Add white and grey, and you’ll have over half of it.
What do you think, should we all agree to try to make 2023 a bit more colourful?
PLA all the way!
This one actually surprised us a bit. We know you all like PLA, we just didn’t realize just how much. Turns out 7 of 10 spools of filament we shipped during 2022 was PLA-based.
Did you know that PLA is a bioplastic made predominately from renewable resources? Most of it is made from corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beets.
What else did you buy?
You didn’t just buy a lot of printer and materials. You also bought a whole lot of accessories, upgrades, tools and parts. Some of them you seemed to like especially well.
In the top five we find the PrimaFix, the Nozzle Cleaning Kit, and the FlexPlates from PrimaCreator. The other top spots went to Super Lubes Synthetic Grease, and the Magnetic Build Surface from Creality. All solid picks if you ask us!
WHAT ELSE HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?
During 2022 we’ve been lucky enough to get to meet a whole lot of you at one of the trade shows we’ve been part of.
We’ve been visiting 3D Meetup (Helsingborg) and Elmia 3D (Jönköping) in Sweden.
AM Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
TCT in Birmingham, UK.
And of course Formnext in Frankfurt, Germany.

We speak more languages!
We’re all part of one big European family. As such, we strive towards offering a nice shopping experience regardless of which corner of Europe you’re coming from.
As a small step in that direction, we’ve expanded our web shop with Danish and Dutch sections.
We know we’re not completely fluid speaking yet, but we’re trying our best!
Hopefully we will be even more multilingual in 2023.

During 2022 we’ve formed a whole lot of new partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers. We’ve widened our product catalogue with so many new fantastic products.
We’re very happy and proud to have partnered up with AnkerMake, BASF, E3D, FLSUN, Ortur, Polymaker, Revopoint, and xTool.

More delivery options!
Logistics is more tricky then one might think. In 2022, we shipped 100 000 packages!
(Well... almost anyway. It was so close that I'm going to go ahead and call it 100 000.)
We know that many of you put great value getting in quick and smooth delivery of the products you buy from us. We strive towards offering everyone good and efficient shipping options to choose from. That’s why we’ve added both Budbee and DHL as options in addition to our long time partners DAO, FedEx, PostNord and UPS.
So regardless of where in Europe you’re located, we hope you’ll find a shipping option that fits your liking.
We won some awards!
Creality has honored us with awards for Best Contribution, and Sales Excellence Partner in 2022!
We have a great partnership with Creality, and we’re very thankful and happy to have received these awards from them.
We’ve said farewell to some old faithfuls.
Technology moves forwards and sometimes you have to bid farewell to some long running staples.
With the end of 2022, we’re saying good by to the Ender-3 Pro and Ender-3 V2.
We’ve sold more printers of these two models than any others. It’s bittersweet seeing them replaced by newer shinier models.
But even on their way out they both still managed to get in to our top 5 list of most popular printers of the year. In fact, the Ender-3 V2 was still the most popular printer in 2022, bar none.
How’s that for two old timers?
We have some exiting new products!
Looking forward, we’re really exited to see how some of the new products we added in 2022 will fare.
The Creality Ender family brings us not just one, but two new product lines, the Neo-series and the S1-series. Will they be as popular as their predecessors?
For 2023, it seems everyone’s looking for speed. The AnkerMake M5, the BIQU Hurakan and the FLSUN V400 are three new entrants that’s offering just that!
In the same vein, we have the Creality Sonic Pad and the Raise3D Hype Speed Kit that’s aiming to get more speed out of already existing printers.
Other exiting upgrades is the APUS Extruder from DropEffect, Bondtechs new BiMetal CHT nozzles, and maybe we will finally be able to get our hands on some ObXidian nozzles from E3D?
Straying away a little from 3D-printing, there’s also some new and exiting products in the laser engraving space in the Ortur Laser Master 3 LE and the xTool D1 Pro.
2023 will for sure bring a lot of new and exiting things, and we hope you will all join us in seeing where it takes us.
